Buy only for listed device, still be wary!!!
I agree with the majority. Programing is a joke for non-named devices. I bought 6 of them hoping the "other brands" was real. So far it isn't. The cable box isn't even recognized and a couple of TV's aren't listed in the manual.
Very poor documentation. As it now stands I have partial control of 2 devices but not cable. The hope is I can get one more working on a Visio TV.
The rest will probably find their way to Goodwill. Very DISAPPOINTED!!!

Don't
Tried several times to get it set up.  My TV is even one of the brands listed.  Followed the directions given and made sure the batteries were good.  I haven't thrown them into the trash yet but they are in a junk drawer where they belong.  Just to make sure I will try one more time before they permanently go away.

Disappointed!
So far unable to set up. I'll try again later.  I hope I can get tech assistance for it. I have Amazon system, not Roku.Don't think it's going to work for me. Giving me weird messages on TV screen!

Universal remote
You are correct, this particular universal remote is a very good tool with a couple of exceptions. First exception is the arrows that make the cursor go up or down left and right, need to be in the upper half of the remote, not on the lower half as it’s hard to hold and handle down in the lower half because this is the most used part of the remote. It also needs to be in a circle format instead of each individual arrow having its own button with the OK in the middle, the circle feature works much easier.  An example of this type of feature can be seen in the Amazon fire stick remote.  I can operate that remote in the dark as you can feel the circle and know where your left right, up down, buttons are.  I need to turn on a light to operate this universal remote. Just a thought for what it’s worth.
