    Doesn't work on smooth lids
    Works great on knurled or dimpled lids - does not work at all on smooth bottle lids, even with a silicone pad. Haven't tried it on jars.

    My experience is parallel with Joseph's.  Have used it twice.  The first time worked quite nicely on a large jar.  The next experience was with a much smaller jar, and though challenging, it also opened.  It seems to be most useful on larger containers.

    Used Once...pending review
    I received the Easy Grip Adjustable Jar Opener and attempted to use it on a smaller-sized bottle, though I found it rather challenging to obtain a "firm grip" on the bottle, requiring me to exert more pressure for it to complete its task.  Hopefully, it will work better with larger sized cans and bottles.

    Great little kitchen aid.
    Works very well. This device gives you good leverage without requiring a great deal of strength. The 4 inch span works on larger jars. If you have an injury or arthritis you need one of these. I ordered on a weekend and had a little trouble on the website. I talked to Sandy first thing Monday AM and she fixed it right away. She really is as nice as they say. Great customer service.  Bob.

    Jar Opener
    This is a great item. I have had a couple of battery powered jar openers, and both of them gave out when the gears inside seem to have jammed. This one is easy to handle, even with my old arthritic hands. It has good friction without damaging the jar lid, and it feels good in the hand. I recommend it.

    Well made opener for small jar. Seems to be welll designed and for small jar, it meets the mark. Shipped relatively fast. It is hard to get excited about a jar opener, but this one does its job well.

    Not Good For Large Smooth Lids
    Ive been using a smaller antique metal version of this tool for 50+ years. Was excited to find this larger rubberized type. But unless the edge of the lid has indentations it doesnt grip. Still a good tool to have, but my old smaller one worked better for the large smooth lid. Shucks...
