Peace is back at the house

4 months of the year, my 90 year old mother lives with me and refuses to get a much needed hearing aid. Instead she just raises the volume of anything she wants to listens to. When you do that with a TV with 7 surround sound speakers, it gets a little annoying. This device solves that problem in so many ways.. She places the speaker on a table where she sits and basically adjusts the volume to where she can hear it well, but the rest of the family can go about their business in solitude. It also comes already paired with the base and can be used as a bluetooth speaker so she can hear music to her liking. We just place it back in the base at the end of the day, and we are ready to go for the next day. During the months she is not here, we just unplug the base and we are back to our normal TV experience.

Great answer to poor sound on expensive huge flatscreens

Some programs more than others, the words are harder to make out with slightly diminished hearing and bad tinnitis. Making the TV louder did not help, and irritated others. Carrying the portable speaker closer to the viewers eliminated the problem. Sound is crystal clear for all. Also, if you leave the room, you can take the sound with you.

All the Options in High Quality remote TV audio

The Coby Wireless TV Speaker provides high-quality remote audio from your TV by bluetooth. In use for two months. The input at the TV is optical cable or conventional jacks--both provided. The remote has an on/off volume control, and a connection for earphones. The sound and speech is remarkably more clear than directly from the TV located some distance away. The wireless remote sits on a charging unit near the TV when not in use. Well worth the price.
