Buy only for listed device, still be wary!!!
I agree with the majority. Programing is a joke for non-named devices. I bought 6 of them hoping the "other brands" was real. So far it isn't. The cable box isn't even recognized and a couple of TV's aren't listed in the manual.
Very poor documentation. As it now stands I have partial control of 2 devices but not cable. The hope is I can get one more working on a Visio TV.
The rest will probably find their way to Goodwill. Very DISAPPOINTED!!!

Don't
Tried several times to get it set up.  My TV is even one of the brands listed.  Followed the directions given and made sure the batteries were good.  I haven't thrown them into the trash yet but they are in a junk drawer where they belong.  Just to make sure I will try one more time before they permanently go away.

Disappointed!
So far unable to set up. I'll try again later.  I hope I can get tech assistance for it. I have Amazon system, not Roku.Don't think it's going to work for me. Giving me weird messages on TV screen!

Universal remote
You are correct, this particular universal remote is a very good tool with a couple of exceptions. First exception is the arrows that make the cursor go up or down left and right, need to be in the upper half of the remote, not on the lower half as it’s hard to hold and handle down in the lower half because this is the most used part of the remote. It also needs to be in a circle format instead of each individual arrow having its own button with the OK in the middle, the circle feature works much easier.  An example of this type of feature can be seen in the Amazon fire stick remote.  I can operate that remote in the dark as you can feel the circle and know where your left right, up down, buttons are.  I need to turn on a light to operate this universal remote. Just a thought for what it’s worth.

Click to read about our staffIf you have ever wanted to throw your remote across the room, I've got a solution. The Worlds Easiest Programmable Universal Remote Control finally fixes the madness.

This is the remote I have been waiting for! At 63 years old I don't want to mess with tiny instruction booklets, secret button combos, or complicated instructions to make it pair. With this, you press two buttons and boom, it is programmed in seconds. We even have a video so you can see how ridiculously simple it is.

It works with almost every brand on the planet. Big names, little names, off brand TVs that you don't remember where it came from. I have yet to find a TV that it will not control.

And it is not just for TVs. You can program up to four additional devices like DVD players, Blu ray players, cable boxes, satellite boxes, the whole gang. Plus the fifth button is already set up for ROKU. I'm so in love with this!

If you use a Smart TV, the shortcut buttons will make you feel spoiled. Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube are right there. Press one, your TV opens it instantly. No scrolling through menus, no searching for apps, no yelling at the screen.

If you want one remote that actually does what it promises and does it without a fight, this is it.
