The lizard cam does not have a clear picture. It is blurry and hard to make out objects. Also it is very hard to get it to go where you want it to.

Ever drop a screw while assembling a project. As you know, when it hits the floor, it magically disappears under something. This gives the user eyes under the hiding place of that screw.
See things not seen before
Neat small way of viewing in places you normally cant see. The cable is long enough to reach most anywhere but it is a lot stiffer than I thought it would be. I was hoping it would be more flexible, you have to work to straighten or bend it to where you want to see. Lots of times the picture is not upright so you have to either wiggle the cable or turn the display around to see things the way your eyes expect to see it.

The resolution is fair, but the biggest problem is that the camera is not very sensitive and needs lots of light, which the LEDs surrounding the camera cannot supply. Unfortunately, most nooks and crannies that youd use this to explore or inspect are not well lit. Im not very impressed with its performance.

CAME IN HANDY RIGHT AWAY
I bought this because the price was right and I could see several uses for it. I had no idea that I would need it immediately upon arrival. The day it arrived coincidentally my washer backed up and partially flooded our laundry room after being trouble free for 20 years. The drain pipe had backed up and over flowed. I extended the Lizard Cams camera out all the way and inserted it into the drain pipe. I saw right thru the standing water to the clog and determined that I could reach the clog and unblock it without needing a plumber. It paid for itself many times over on the very day it arrived!
Works like a charm
I didnt have the Lizard Cam twenty-four hours when I had a tenant clog her toilet. Rather than having to do something drastic, like replace the toilet, I was able to look and see an aspirin bottle stuck in the trap. After a fashion I got it out, but at least I knew what I was up against!
Better Than Expected
I was surprised and pleased with the clarity and sharpens of the screen.. I also found a number of uses which I had not anticipated when I first purchased it. The one short fall is in tight places the picture falls out of focus when it is too close. You have to back off to get it clearer. No different than you do when you read something too close. My son saw it and took it home with him.I wish the line to the camera was longer for use in plumbing. I guess that is expecting too much for the price.
Works, but not as easy to use as I had hoped
The primary reason I purchased the Lizard Cam is to make it easier to plug USB and other cables into the back of computers, monitors and printers. It did help with this, but I had trouble with my hand with the plug in it obstructing my view and with being confused as to the orientation of the image. I partially solved the orientation problem by pointing the cylindrical camera at an object in front of it, turning the camera until the image of the object was right side up, and taping a piece of paper onto the camera identifying its top. I had been pointing the camera upward to try to plug a USB cable into a port on the back of a Dell monitor.

Got this to put away as Christmas gift for my Husband. He needed it while working on our dishwasher and I said Wow, wouldnt it be nice if you had a camera you could drop back there and see what is back there? He was thrilled with his gift and has used it again the next night working on the Washing Machine. Very good picture on the screen. I am happy.

Used it to retrieve object from tank. Took a while to get used to the short foal length, but otherwise, worked fine.
Great Product - Probe could be longer
This product is great I just wish the probe was longer. I believe it says its 4 feet and I wish it was at least 6 or 8 feet but it works great. The picture is clear and every home could benefit from having it. The only reason it didnt get a 5 star is because the probe is short. This is really a 5 star item at a great price.

Poor quality
Light to weak to see much cord to stiff to be useful do not recommend. Idea good but quality poor. Was hopeful it could help me find a cricket did not work.

Ten years ago dropped a knife down a space between the sink and the wall and have been unable to fish it out. With the Lizard Cam was able to locate it and then fish it out with the magnet attachment in about a minute. Definitely a useful tool.

I think it is a nice product, but it could have been a great product if the wire was a lot more flexible. I tried to enter my bathtub drain which had a right angle turn down below and it was impossible for the wire to make the turn. A more flexible wire would have made it a much more user friendly product. Other then that the camera shows a very nice picture for the price, a very nice product.

Thought this would be a great item, but you cant see a thing on the screen unless its equivalent of daylight brightness
