This high powered flashlight is absolutely blinding!  I have a collection of rechargeable flashlights and all are quite good; however, this one is something special.  The only reason I gave it four stars is because the beam does not narrow down as far as my other ones do but it is rugged, dependable, and very bright.

the only reason I didnt give it a 5 star was that one of the flashlights wouldnt charge. However I emailed the company and was sent a replacement immediately which worked fine. I was very pleased with both flashlights.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!     The three settings and the zoom-able focus is great.  Sturdy.  And the fact that it can sit on my desk and recharge via USB is AWESOME!!

It is very bright, but I was a little disappointed with its focused beam. Id like it to be more of a spotlight.

The flashlight is as bright as advertised, but the shaft gets very warm/hot within a few minutes.  I love the rechargeable feature, rather than batteries.

I passed up several ads on web and TV for flashlights with 7-800 lumens.  That is about the average light output for an ordinary flashlight.  This one advertised 2500 lumens and really is seeringly bright.  The casing is indeed tough aluminumno plastic.  Solid, heavy feel and push button action feels well made.  The only 2 complaints that I have are:  1. to widen or focus beam, you have to unscrew the light at mid shaft which also exposes the USB and charging ports, so if you want a narrow beam, the ports are fully exposed and 2. it comes with a warning that you can only leave the high beam on for 10 minutes without risk of overheatingit gets hotnot a deal breaker as the low setting still beats most cheap lights.  I am very happy with the light overall in both quality build and brightness.

I bought this and a week later I bought 2 more so I could keep 1 in each car too.It is sturdy and super bright. Plus no batteries.

This is small but more powerful then larger flashlights

This light is as bright as your going to need, however after just a few minutes you have to lower the setting or turn it off. It tends to generate significant heat. I would not store this in a pack that would accidentally turn the light on. Its heat could cause damage. I suggest wearing gloves for long usage. Still worth having for emergencies.

The flashlight work well. It is bright.  If the flashlight is on high mode for a few mins, the flashlight gets hot to the touch.

The Farpoint 2500 flashlight is very bright, well made and relatively inexpensive for what you get. Its brightness is most noticeable indoors, where it may actually be overpowering when using the high/wide beam 2500 lumens. There is a significant decrease if you switch to low power 500 lumens. The high beam will light your way with everything close-by illuminated, but at a distance, the light rapidly drops off. I you try getting more light in the distance by twisting not sliding the front piece that contains the lens, it will reduce the diameter of the beam somewhat, but it does NOT increase the brightness of the central part of the beam. The light source design creates this problem because it is a approx 3/4 circular substrate covered with 52 LED light emitters embedded in a phosphor coating with no centralized source of light. All the zoom function does is cut out the light from the outer emitters. Older style flashlights with single or compact discreet LED arrays don't have this problem and the zoom does actually make the center spot brighter. Another problem when using high power is heating. There is a warning in very small print on the flashlight package.  it does not recommend using the high power setting for more than 10 minutes to prevent heat damage to the COB array and electronics. In 10 minutes at high power, all metal surfaces get noticeably warm/hot; however, the battery itself does not seem to heat significantly in that time. There is no recommendation for on-time at the low setting, so it would be assumed to not be limited Much lower power consumption.The flashlight is described as weather-resistant, although no details are given. It appears that the zoom portion of the flashlight must be fully seated to cover the two connectors for rain resistance, because the internal electronics appear to be exposed around the two connectors.The battery is specified as a 3000maH lithium-ion type. Many powerful flashlights use the common 18650 size battery and are often stated has having up to 3000maH capacity, but this is usually just specification inflation to sell more flashlights. However, the Farpoint 2500 has a 26650 size battery with a diameter that is 44% greater than the 18650 therefore more capacity. The Farpoint battery probably DOES have a 3000maH capacity. This large battery will produce longer run times, but take quite a while to recharge with a common USB wall-wart charger and the supplied USB cable. However, the end-cap of the flashlight is designed to be unscrewed and the battery just slides out for replacement or external charging with a more capable charge system. One thing missing on the end-cap is a small hole in the edge to allow attachment of a wrist lanyard, which would be very useful with this size flashlight.Despite some potential problems, most users should be very happy with this flashlight, unless the 10 minute limit on use at the HIGH setting would be problematic.

This unit, mine at least, really heats up after after about 5 minutes.

Nice lite, however i would give it 5 stars if the zoom mode  went to a finer pinpoint illumination.

THIS FLASHLIGHT IS WORTH THE MONEY!  IT HAS ONE USB PORT TO CHARGE ANY OF YOUR ELECTRONICS AND IT ALSO HAS THE CHARGING PORT FOR THE FLASHLIGHT.  EXCELLENT QUALITY OF LIGHT THAT OMITS FROM THE FLASHLIGHT AND IT CAN LIGHT UP AN ENTIRE ROOM.  THE LIGHT BLINKS RED WHEN YOU CHARGE IT, THEN WHEN ITS FULLY CHARGED, THE RED LIGHT STOPS BLINKING.  THIS ONE DOES NOT HAVE A GREEN LIGHT.  THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST FLASHLIGHT I HAVE EVER OWNED ALONG WITH ITS FAMILY, I HAVE THE 500 LUMEN WHICH IS GREAT AND I ALSO HAVE THE DUAL BEAM HEADLAMPS 350 LUMENS.  DONT HESTIATE TO PURCHASE THIS FLASHLIGHT, GREAT INVESTMENT!  BEST OF THE BEST!  THANK YOU Pulsetv.com
