We love this for so many reasons. It has two ways of charging your car's dead battery. Plug in the jumper cables for the traditional quick jump directly to your car's battery, or trickle charge it with the DC plug attachment. That's right, you don't even need to get out of your car to do it, which is great for rainy or snowy days. It takes a little longer with the trickle charge, but still quicker than waiting for help to arrive.

Both options are fool-proof. The jumper cables include a smart sensor that will notify you with a red light and alert sound if you've mixed up the black and red clamps, and the DC plug has an attached digital Voltage reader that lets you know when you have enough juice to start the car.

While this is well worth the occasional emergency, you can use the battery backup to charge your mobile devices as well, so you might use it quite often. Just remember to charge it up every once and awhile to make sure you have juice when you need it most.
