How Far Can I Talk With A Two Way Radio?

The Cobra CXT145 has a maximum range of 16 miles. To get the 16 miles range, each radio needs to be in a flat or sloping landscape with no obstacles. In a varied elevation landscape, these radios will transmit for about 8 miles. In condensed cities with many trees and buildings, you can expect to talk for 1 to 2 miles. NOTE: This model is the same unit as the Cobra CXT116 that you may see labeled on the box.
