It's simple to use with a large digital screen for easy reading. Just unfold the temperature probe and the unit will turn on. There is also a bright backlight for reading at night. When you hold the backlight button it will change the setting from Celsius to Fahrenheit. The HOLD button keeps the current temp reading until HOLD is pressed again. The MIN/MAX button will show you the two temperature extremes that have been recorded since the unit was turned on. The thermometer will automatically turn off when the prob is folded back into the storage position.

Best of all it gives you an accurate reading on a large, easy to read digital display in about 2 seconds. It's so quick nobody ever saw me use it. It also has a really nice and bright backlight.
There are some other more advanced features like memory for the minimum and maximum temperature as well as a temp hold button, I am more of a simple cook so my favorite feature is the magnetic backing. This allows me to store it on the side of the fridge so I always know right where it is.
