Simply slide the blue faceplate toward the top of the kit to separate it from the hardware container. The blue section contains all of your new tools for hanging pictures quickly and perfectly level.
Speaking of levels, as you can see this kit includes a horizontal and vertical level. This also separates from the blue base by pulling upward on it. You may need some force the first time you separate it.
These Are Such Useful Wall Marking Tools
Under the level, you'll find a knob that can be rotated 360 degrees. This tool is actually a wall marking tool. To remove this just pull straight up. Be careful when you remove it though because the end is sharp.
Next, you'll see two tools that look like keys. These are called Magnakeys and can be used to help align sawtooth hangers, single-notch precision hangers, and even d-ring hooks. They are magnetic to help hold them in place. When you gently push the picture onto the wall with these tools, the point on the Magnakey will leave a mark so you know right where to place a nail.
In between the keys, there is a button. When pushed the whole kit can extend up to 12 inches long. At the bottom, you will see a series of three wire wall-hanging guides. The holes in the guides are to be used with the wall marking tool mentioned earlier.
The hardware kit includes a wide range of nails, screws, wire, hooks, and hangers. Over 100 pieces in all! Each set of items has its own compartment to keep things organized. On the lid of the compartments, you'll also find a raised 8-inch ruler.
